Wuppertal is easy to reach by train from Cologne, Düsseldorf and Duisburg. There are daily Eurostar services from Paris, London and Brussels to Cologne. We encourage participants to plan their travel responsibly and to check their carbon footprint using the Labos1point5 simulator, available at: https://apps.labos1point5.org/travels-simulator.

 

Directions from Wuppertal

  • Arriving by public transport: Take line 603 to the "Mensa" stop. Alternatively, use lines 615, 625 or 635 to "Universität". (Building W is about 5 minutes walk from the stops).

  • Arriving by car: Building W is located at Gaußstraße, 20, 42119 Wuppertal. Follow the signs to "Wuppertal" and "Universität, Campus Grifflenberg". The university car parks and parking spaces are freely accessible to everyone. Please note the general opening hours of the PA, PB and PC car parks: Mon-Fri: 7:00 to 22:30. These car parks are closed at weekends.

 

Regional trains (VRS service)

  • From Cologne (Köln Hbf or Messe/Deutz) to Wuppertal Hbf : lines RE7 or RB48
  • From Düsseldorf Hbf to Wuppertal Hbf: lines RE4, RE13, S8, S28
  • From Düsseldorf airport to Wuppertal Hbf: line S11 until Düsseldorf Hbf and then RE4, RE13, S8, S28 to Wuppertal Hbf
  • From Cologne/Bonn airport to Wuppertal Hbf: RB27 or S19 until Köln Messe/Deutz and then RE7 or RB48 to Wuppertal Hbf
  • From Dortmund airport to Wuppertal Hbf: Line Airport Shuttle until Holzwickede Bf and then RE7 to Wuppertal Hbf

Bus (VRS service)

  • Wuppertal train station to the university: Lines 615, 625, 645
  • Wuppertal city center to the university: Line 60 until Wuppertal Hbf and then lines 615, 625 or 635 to the university
